The Office of the Secretary-General of the European Schools (OSGES) is pleased to share two educational opportunities offered by the European Commission for European Schools pupils: Experience Europe and Let’s Talk Europe.
Located in the heart of Brussels’ European Quarter, these activities offer pupils an interactive and engaging way to discover the European Union, connecting classroom learning with real-world examples, multimedia experiences and discussion.
Through these activities, pupils can explore how the European Union works, discover European culture and shared values, understand how EU decisions affect everyday life and develop critical thinking, debate skills and active citizenship.
Experience Europe & Let’s Talk Europe
🇪🇺 Experience Europe – The Exhibition
⏱️ Duration: approximately 45 minutes
👥 Target group: P5 to S7
📍 Format: Self-guided interactive visit
An immersive exhibition featuring interactive multimedia displays, audiovisual experiences, games and quizzes. Student activity booklets are also available to complement the visit.
💬 Let’s Talk Europe – The Workshop
⏱️ Duration: approximately 45 minutes
👥 Target group: Ages 15+ (S5–S7)
🗣️ Format: Facilitated workshop (maximum 25 pupils)
A participatory workshop combining guided discussions, live voting, videos and quizzes, giving pupils the opportunity to exchange views and share their opinions on Europe’s future.
The two activities can be combined to create a complete 90-minute learning experience:
Discover → Understand → Discuss → Participate
The activities can complement different areas of the European Schools curriculum. For Primary P5, connections include Geography, History, Socio-cultural Studies and European Hours. At Secondary level, relevant links include Geography, History, Philosophy & Ethics and Languages.

📚 Teacher resources: Activity booklets are available upon request for pre- or post-visit classroom work
