We would like to share the latest edition of the European School Education Platform newsletter, which focuses on literacy, digital wellbeing, future‑ready skills and new professional learning opportunities for educators.

What you will find in this edition:

• World Book Day - Celebrating World Book Day on 23 April, this edition highlights the role of reading in building curiosity, critical thinking and lifelong learning. Explore classroom practices from a Portuguese school and discover expert insights and resources on inclusive literacy, community engagement and developing confident readers.

• Survey on digital wellbeing in schools - A new survey invites teachers and stakeholders to share their views on digital wellbeing, including screen time, online risks and their impact on learning and mental health. Open until 31 May 2026.

• New podcast episode - The latest Teachers of Europe podcast explores how educators support pupils in developing resilience, collaboration and problem‑solving skills while addressing global challenges such as climate change and technological transformation.

• Courses - New courses focus on civic engagement through news, digital wellbeing, AI literacy and game‑based learning with eTwinning, and self‑paced materials include AI and personalised learning, strengthening literacy with eTwinning, and using debate to develop critical thinking.

• Webinars - Webinars cover peer mentoring, learning from mistakes and financial literacy.

• Articles and publications - Recent publications explore eTwinning Schools recognition, teacher pathways, mental health support initiatives, science teaching in VET, DigComp 3.0, school success for all learners and the link between reading and life skills.
