We would like to share the latest edition of the European School Education Platform newsletter, which focuses on media and digital literacy, preparing learners for an increasingly complex information landscape, and new professional learning opportunities for educators.
What you will find in this edition:
- Survey on media and digital literacy in schools - Teachers and education stakeholders are invited to share their views on media and digital literacy, helping shape future approaches to critical thinking, digital skills and responsible engagement with online information. The survey is open until 1 October 2026.
- New podcast episode - The latest Teachers of Europe podcast explores the impact of disinformation and AI on the information landscape, while offering practical classroom strategies to help pupils develop critical thinking and media literacy skills.
- Resources for the new school year - Explore a collection of resources and success stories covering resilience, citizenship education, sustainability through space technology, and creative teaching approaches developed through Erasmus+ mobility experiences.
- EU Academy platform upgrade - Users who have completed courses on the EU Academy platform are encouraged to download their certificates before the migration to the upgraded platform.
- Courses - New self‑paced materials explore how to develop life skills through classroom decision‑making.
- Webinars - Upcoming webinars focus on teaching coding with AI (14 September), empathetic AI for literature and social and emotional learning (16 October), and building resilience for growth (19 October).
- Articles and publications - Recent resources include summer reading recommendations, citizenship learning activities, international teacher collaboration, critical digital literacy, anti‑bullying good practices, career guidance materials, and Erasmus+ Teacher Academy resources on inclusion, diversity, citizenship and democracy.
