We would like to share the latest edition of the European School Education Platform newsletter, which highlights new digital education guidelines, opportunities for professional learning and resources supporting equality, inclusion and the responsible use of AI in schools.
 
What you will find in this edition:
 
  • International Women’s Day - A reminder of the ongoing work needed to promote gender equality in classrooms. Explore a Teachers of Europe podcast on the gender gap in science and find practical ideas for addressing stereotypes in schools.
  • New digital education guidelines - The European Commission has published four sets of guidelines to help teachers navigate disinformation, ethical AI use, informatics teaching and digital content quality, complete with scenarios, checklists and classroom resources.
  • Survey on AI in education - Teachers are invited to share how they use AI in planning, assessment and pupil support. The survey is open until 25 March 2026.
  • Courses - New courses cover creative uses of AI in the classroom (16 March), becoming an AI‑competent teacher (16 March) and transforming social and emotional learning with eTwinning (30 March).
  • Webinars - Including dyslexia support (12 March), creative use of simple classroom materials (17 March) and global citizenship education (25 March).
  • Learning Materials - Self‑paced materials explore gender‑based violence online, discovery‑based maths and real‑world mathematical thinking.
  • Articles and publications - Recent articles focus on teacher wellbeing, community liaison for tackling inequality, democracy in VET settings, eTwinning featured groups, VET teacher wellbeing in digital contexts, inquiry‑based science teaching and a compendium on equality and values in education.
